STEM education programs to local high school girls through ChickTech.

February 15th, 2017
Vacasa
926 Northwest 13th Avenue, #200, Portland, OR 97209
5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Join us on Feb. 15th for an evening of fun, functionality, and friendship! We’re going to help you get ready to create an idea, submit a proposal to a conference CFP, and prep for your talk! This workshop is designed to help you prepare for ACT-W (Advancing the Careers of Technical Women) and the CFP that is due March 1st, but you can come even if you aren’t interested in submitting a talk to ACT-W. We’ll discuss the ins and outs of CFPs, how to prepare, how to pitch yourself, and how to avoid self-doubt.

We look forward to meeting you!

This workshop is taught by Laura Davis of Clarity Innovations and Kristen Gallagher of Edify.
Both Laura and Kristen are organizers of ACT-W 2017.

ACT-W KICKOFF PARTY

Join us as we kick off the weekend at the ACT-W Kickoff Happy Hour. Enjoy an exclusive experience to mingle with industry leaders, celebrate with other like-minded people, and enjoy a night on the town with food and drinks before the conference.
